RAMALHO'S STORY
Ramalho is a twenty year old Lusitano gelding who was imported from Brazil at the age of five. For the last six years, his owner Roz, a veterinarian herself, has been dedicated to resolving his ongoing soundness issues. From chronic lumbar back problems, a tear of the medial branch of his left rear suspensory, and a tear in his superficial digital flexor, Ramalho cycled through many different veterinarians, diagnoses, and treatments before finding Dr. Maloney.
In 2014, Dr. Maloney took over the care
of Ramalho. As a result of his physical issues, he had developed significant atrophy in his topline and hindquarters. When FES technology became available, Dr. Maloney knew it was the perfect solution to resolve these long-term issues.
